Iranian Men Dress in Drag for Gender Equality

After a youtube video (shown below) of an Iranian Kurdish convicted criminal forcibly dressed in women’s clothes made regional headlines, Iranian and Kurdish men everywhere took to social media to show their support for gender equality.

BuzzFeed reports that the men created a campaign that sports the motto: “Being a woman is not a way for humiliation or punishment.” Dozens of men have thus taken photos of themselves in traditional Kurdish garb (which, by the way is absolutely beautiful), supporting women in a charmingly fashionable way.

Accordingly, a letter has been sent to the Justice Ministry by several members of Iran’s parliament, dubbing the criminal’s sentence as “humiliating to Muslim women.”

Because a true man knows how to respect a woman.
