The Art Factum Gallery is hosting a solo photography exhibition by Caroline Tabet called “Of Places and Dust”. Born Lebanese, Caroline Tabet studied photography in Montpellier, France, at the beginning of the nineties.
She worked in Paris for a while as an assistant photographer for press and fashion, before joining a Lebanese agency for film production in Beirut in 1995. Between 1996 and 2000, she worked as a freelancer photographer and assistant director on various film sets in France and Lebanon.
Her photographic series explores the relationship between the city and the interaction of human as well as the notions of reminiscence and loss. In her video works she develops a dialogue between the distinct proprieties of image and sound.
