Hiking in Baatara – Douma with Lebanese Adventure

Join Lebanese Adventure as it hosts another exciting trip. This time, they’ll be taking you to Baatara and Douma. You will begin near Tannourine el Faouqa by a visit of the impressive Baatara sinkhole, where three natural bridges are superimposed.

The hike starts by a relatively short but sloppy uphill climb to reach the top of the mountain that overlooks Douma village. From there, it is very easy to arrive to the village passing by “Mar Nohra” a very old church.

A tasty traditional lunch prepared by a Doumanian lady will be waiting for you. After lunch, you will visit “Beit el Tourass” and the old souk. You will not miss to pass by and taste the famous “Zahlawi” ice cream.

Participation fee: $25 covering guides, transportation and insurance.

Meeting is at 7:30 a.m, at the parking next to the Emergency Entrance of the Sacré Cœur Hospital Hazmieh.
