Mira Ghandour Tabet, the designer behind the AMITA label, is originally from the southern port city of Tyr, Lebanon.

Mira graduated in fashion design from the prestigious Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Italy. She began her career with Costume National, one of Italy’s leading fashion houses, where a Japanese ‘modellista’ and former designer at the illustrious house of Yohji Yamamoto, took Mira under her wing. Her mentor of four years greatly impacted and still influences AMITA’s distinct style and cuts.

In 2009 Mira embarked on a fashion journey to create her own line of clothing, AMITA. She designs collections that mix couture-accented pieces with comfortable basics using noble fabrics like silk and satin. AMITA features unique sets of designs that are versatile for all seasons and fit perfectly with a pair of heels and flip-flops alike.

The AMITA woman embodies elegance and sensuality with a modern twist.
