We Shall Overcome Screening at Metropolis Cinema

As part of the Danish Feast festival, Metropolis Cinema is hosting a screening of the movie “We Shall Overcome” by Niels Arden Oplev.

Synopsis: 13-year-old Frits has fallen out of favour with the headmaster of his school. It is 1969. The world is changing rapidly, and corporal punishment has been banned. The tyrannical headmaster, however, has not bothered to notice.

Frits spends his summer holidays in front of the family’s first television and is influenced by the winds of change. When the headmaster steps over the line, Frits takes up battle against the authorities.
