Prix Pictet Exhibition at Beirut Exhibition Center

Launched in 2008 by the Geneva-based private bank Pictet & Cie, the Prix Pictet has rapidly established itself as the world’s leading prize in photography and sustainability. It has a unique mandate – to uncover outstanding photography applied to confront the most pressing social and environmental challenges of today.

“Power”, the theme of the fourth Prix Pictet, is a paradox. It has enormous creative reach, embracing hope and despair in equal measure. The 201 nominators worldwide recommended almost 650 photographers from 76 countries, who presented images that are both awe-inspiring and disturbing.
