The UNESCO Palace is hosting a collective photography exhibition called “Street Kabita”. In August 2012, seventeen passionate street photographers from the BSP (Beirut Street Photographers) community traveled to Nepal. Over a span of twelve days, they explored the bustling streets of Kathmandu and the lakeside village of Pokhara with their cameras.

They became friends with the locals, got to know the rich culture on a more intimate level and came home with stories they will never forget. Through each distinct lens, they captured life as it was happening on the streets: the commonplace and the extraordinary, the withered and the beautiful, the everyday and its ironies. Each photograph taken during the trip reveals a side of Nepal that tells its own story.
