International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia at The Sunflower Theatre

Join the Sunflower Theatre as it hosts a celebration for the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia. This year, three short movies in Arabic, directed by Lebanese students, which talk about homosexuality and transexuality, homophobia and transphobia, will be screened.

The celebration will also have two panels: andexposition by lawyer Nizar Saghiye of his study, done with Helem’s support, on a model pleading in justice against article 534 that criminalizes homosexuality in Lebanon; a discussion with psychologist Dr. Carole Saade about efforts to change sexual orientation (also known as “reparative therapy”).
