Maroun Bagdadi in the Limelight at Al Madina Theatre

In 1993, Maroun Bagdadi died in the darkness on the stairs in Beirut, while he was preparing a film about his city. Beirut could not save the cinema director who loved, hated, sang and mourned for it at the same time. Moreover, the saddest reality is that Beirut is not showing Maroun Baghdadi’s films because they are not available.

Today, Nadi Lekol Nas is organizing the “Maroun Bagdadi in the Limelight” festival, twenty years since his death; at Al Madina Theater. The festival includes photos exhibition, panels and film screenings.
