As part of the Beirut Design Week 2013, AltCity is hosting the City X Project. It’s up to the young designers – teams of 8-10 year old students in six countries – to solve the problems of 32 characters living in City X. These problems represent major real-world issues like pollution, transportation, water and sanitation, health, and more, put into a simple, relatable story context.
During three-day workshop sessions, students will use the Stanford school design process with a focus on empathy to create solutions that will help overcome the problems faced in City X.
