LBCI Responds To Nemr Abou Nassar’s Angry V-Blog

You may have seen this video floating around the internet over the past few days. In it, Lebanese comedian Nemr Abou Nassar angrily V-blogs about the For Lebanon awards ceremony over the weekend in which he described LBCI’s coverage of the event as an epic fail. As of publishing time, the video has been viewed over 49,000 times.

LBCI posted (rather suprisingly) a response today on their website, basically blaming the ceremony’s technical snafus on another company: “The filming was outsourced in all good faith by LBCI to an external team which did not perform up to expectations. Again, we are not trying to put the blame on someone else as we fully acknowledge our lack of proper selection. And we are willing to do everything possible to repair the harm that was inadvertently made. “

And after making sincere apologies to the event organizer, Dr. Sfeir and the NGO For Lebanon, the statement added: ” An unjust accusation cannot be an answer to a non-premeditated mistake.”
