Cut and Paste Workshop at Rana Salam Design Studio

As part of the Beirut Design Week 2013, the Rana Salam Design Studio will be hosting a workshop on creating contemporary products from traditional Islamic art.

Extracting visual elements from your surroundings, be it Arabic/ Islamic geometric shapes and letterform, this workshop will bring all your treasures and learn how to manipulate them and reinvent them into other forms and usages.

With the use of digital cameras, computer graphics and final 3D mock ups, this is a chance to find out how its all done – be it a new design for a pair of Converse to your everyday kitchen towel.
