Help The Lebanese Red Cross Buy a New Ambulance

There’s one basic message behind this clever 30-second video: “The Red Cross needs your donations to buy new, better equipped ambulances to replace the old, practically non-functional ones you see in the video.”

At one point, the ad depicts volunteers hailing a cab when their ambulance fails to start.

This might actually work to their advantage as service drivers are known for their special ways of escaping traffic, all while cursing fellow motorists and driving in a nonexistent fourth lane.

Unfortunately, life saving ambulances in our beloved country get stuck in traffic more often than not. When they don’t, they get chased all over the city because according to Lebanese logic, if they can pass quickly, might as well speed after them, right?

Moral of the story: the Red Cross needs your help. Let’s show some respect for these people who volunteer to save lives, even in the worst of conditions.
