Marianne Faithful Cancels Baalbeck Fest Concert
Following a vertebral fracture, singer Marianne Faithfull announced on Wednesday she will not perform at the Baalbeck International Festival on Saturday, as previously scheduled.
In a letter addressed to her Lebanese fans and to Baalbeck organizers, the singer expressed her deep regret for the cancellation and apologized for not being able to go through with the concert.
“I have never been to Lebanon, though I know it through books. It looks like one of the most beautiful places in the world. I still hope to be able to come one day not too far in the future when I’m completely healed and have my dream to sing for you come true,” the singer wrote in the letter.
