As part of the Beirut & Beyond International Music Festival, Tarek Yamani will perform live at Yukunkun.
Tarek is a New York-based and self-taught Lebanese jazz pianist and composer who was exposed to Jazz around the age of 19. During his beginnings, Tarek’s projects ranged in genres from Arabic music to hip-hop and Jazz. While he was performing in local Jazz clubs, he was also producing/performing with pioneer Lebanese speaking Hip-Hop band “Aks’ser” and writing music for dance/theater performances such as with Swedish director Eva Bergman and Lebanese Director Omar Rajeh.
