Registration for Mouneh-Making Event with Byblos & Beyond

From Sep 27 to Oct 12, 2013
8:30am -> 6:30pm
Ehmej

Join Byblos and Beyond to learn about Mouneh and how to preserve food for the winter seasons like your grandparents used to.

Participants will first meet with Tante Meryena who will be sharing her knowledge about how to prepare the following: Tin akhdar matboukh (fig jam), Kishek, Labneh makbouse with olive oil and Debs El Remmen (pomegranate syrup).

A rural lunch will be prepared and eaten with a local family in Ehmej. At the end of the day, a Zouwede (goody bag) will be given to each participant.

With the aim of helping the local community in mind, there will be a stand of Mouneh products for you to buy – all prepared by Tante Meryena and her daughters.

Make sure to bring: your ID card, a backpack, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a light jacket and a camera.

Cost: $50 for adults and $45 for kids. This includes transport, a guide, the Mouneh activity, lunch, the Zouwede goody bag and insurance.

Reservation deadline: Saturday, October 12

Minimum number of participants: 12
