Registration for Pottery-Making and More Adventures in Assia Village

Join Byblos and Beyond on the Eid al-Adha Holiday to discover the hidden treasures of Assia located 20km from Batroun in North Lebanon.

The first stop will be at a local home to learn more about pottery making. Mrs. Sanaa will do a live demonstration of how to create different pottery shapes, and yes, you can make your own too.

In the afternoon, take a small hike to visit St, Touma Monastery and the Virgin of the Fortress Church in Saydet El Kalaa located on a hill just south of Assia. It is surrounded by sarcophaguses as well as grape and olive mills drilled in the rocks.

Next to it stands a four-meter stone statue of the Virgin Mary, built during the summer of 2002. This is a discovery day for adults and kids that’s not to be missed.

$35 per person for Adults
$27 for kids up to 12-years-old
$20 for kids under four years of age
Cost includes transport, a guide, pottery-making activity and trip insurance.
