Litani River
The Litani River rises in the fertile Bekaa Valley, west of Baalbek, and empties into the Mediterranean Sea north of Tyre. The waters of the Litani both originate and flow entirely within the borders of Lebanon. It provides a major source for water supply, irrigation and hydroelectricity both within southern Lebanon, and the country as a whole.

One of the stops on the hike, Saghbine, is a charming peaceful village gifted with farmlands and pastures filled with grape, olive trees, and many other fruit plants.

Meeting Place: 7:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Sagesse School in Jdeideh, facing the public garden.

Price: 75,000 LL per person including transport, guides, lunch and insurance. (Please bring the exact change to facilitate and speed up the registration process).

What to bring: Bring some light snacks and pack your backpacks with, water, lunch, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Wear hiking shoes or comfortable walking shoes.
