Wine Tour in Batroun with Vamos Todos

This wine tour is different from the rest. Participants will visit wineries mainly the north of Lebanon: Trappiste, Ixsir and Adyar, and lunch will be in Batrouniyat. The tour will include a cultural trip to Batroun with a walk in the old souk and a visit to the Phoenician ruins.

The first stop will be at the ‘Trappiste Priests Winery’. This will include breakfast and a visit to their winery to taste their exquisite homemade wines. Trappiste is a small winery producing small quantities of high-quality wine.

Ixsir will be the second stop. A truly Lebanese wine, IXSIR blends varieties of grapes found across the country: Batroun in the North, Jezzine in the South, and the hillsides of the Bekaa Valley in the East. This year, the famous winery was awarded the esteemed honor of being named one of the greenest buildings in the world by CNN. IXSIR has received five medals in the London International Wine fair.

Finally, everyone will go to the monastery of Kfifan, where you can visit Saint Neemtallah el Hardini and the beatified monk,Estephan Nehmeh. Afterwards, you will see the winery of Adyar, located in the monastery of Kfifan. Adyar was established in 2003, cultivating vineyards in Batroun, Metn and Chouf, and producing unique wines. The vineyards are not exposed to any chemical fertilizers or pesticides, thus giving everyone high-quality organic wines. Adyar produces white, rose and red wines. You will get the chance to taste them during your visit.

Participants will stop in Chobtine for a special Lebanese lunch. On the way back, you will visit Batroun’s main attractions. The town boasts historic churches and many Phoenician ruins worth discovering.
