Avant Premiere of ‘Al Wewiyeh’ Directed by Nagy Souraty

The Avant Premiere of Al Wewiyeh will take place at Madina Theatre.

Synopsis
Nidal Al Achkar will be playing the title role in a theatre production conceptualized and directed by Nagy Souraty. This performance is inspired by Bertolt Brecht’s texts, and adapted and translated by Elie Adabachi. It tackles social issues using dark humor. In a place that could be anywhere, and in an indefinite time, El Wewiyeh knows that she is surrounded by wars and realizes that the only way for her and her three children to survive is to take advantage of the situation. She thus becomes a trader.
