If you mention Lebanon to anyone outside of the Middle East, chances are they'll respond in one of three ways:
1. "You mean that place with all the burning tires?"
2. "Man, I hear they party hard there."
3. "Oh yeah! The place with kebab's and olives, right?"
Technically, they’d be right on all three fronts. But there’s so much more than just war, clubbing, and kebabs. We have things like underground rap communities, human rights activists, and hummus.
But since my speciality lies in food, let’s stick with that. If you’re only in Lebanon for a few days, you’ll have a tough time deciding what to do, where to go, and what to eat. Today, we’ll cross that last concern off your list.
