Registration for Upcycling Metal Workshop with Junk Munkez

The Junk Munkez are back in one intensive day workshop of upcycling metal into anything your house might or might not need; lamps, plant holders, quirky looking sculptures.

You will be guided through the design phase and execution and will be covering techniques of metal shaping and manipulation. All materials shall be provided but any additional scraps of metals you might find are welcome.

Leave an eye out for unwanted forks, knives, spoons, teapots, and etc.

Biography:
Lea Kirdikian is a scavenging product designer.
Xavier Baghdadi is an illustrator and animator with a big beard and a flute strapped to the tips of his fingers.
Both reside in Beirut and have joined forces in conquering local junk yards and trash heaps.

Session 1:
10:00 a.m. – 10:20 a.m: Introducing the materials
10:20 a.m. – 11:00 a.m: Choosing designated pieces and grafting a sketch design of structure
11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m: Finalizing draft with character expressions and posture
11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m: Rendering the structure
1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m: Finalizing Details and photoshoot
