Embrace

Embrace is a national and regional awareness support network for mental health in Lebanon and the Middle East affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC).

It is a charitable and fundraising initiative for mental illnesses in the country and the region.
Embrace serves Lebanon and neighboring countries and aims to end the stigma and misconceptions surrounding mental illnesses through community dialogue, media, and
public education. Embrace also aims at developing funding for the treatment of financially underprivileged individuals suffering from mental illnesses.

Embrace Mission:

— To create a better understanding of mental health and illness in Lebanon through public education and awareness.

— To break through and end the stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness through public dialogue, media, publication and public education.

— To create funding and resources for essential services such as screening for mental illnesses and financial support for the treatment of needy patients in Lebanon and neighboring countries.
