Save Achrafieh from Fouad Boutros Project

The controversial Fouad Boutros Highway project was given the green light and will kick off in few weeks time.

This project will destroy 32 heritage landmarks, endanger 33 more, and uproot thousands of meters of lush green spaces in the Achrafieh, Hekmeh and Mar Mikhael neighborhoods.

The Achrafieh Stairs group invites all Lebanese people, especially green lovers, Beirut residents, Mar Mikhael and Gemmayzeh fans as well as all NGOs and friends, to join the protest against the Achrafieh demolition during two consecutive days of protest.

– Saturday, March 1, starting at 3:00 p.m. on Mar Mikhael Street near the Port View Hotel facing EDL.
– Sunday, March 2, starting at 11:00 a.m. in the Rmeil area near the Maronite Archbishop of Achrafieh church.
