Registration for Msaylha Night Hike with Vamos Todos

From Feb 19 to Mar 13, 2014
12:30am -> 11:30pm

Join Vamos Todos for a night hike from Ras Nhash to the coast in Batroun.

From there, you will go by bus to Ras Nhash to start the hike. A bushy downhill trail at the beginning will lead you to a clearer flat path. This lovely scenic trail passes by Msailha Fortress.

Msailha fortress was built by Prince Fakhr El Dine II in 1624 on a high rock in the Jawz River east of Batroun city. The fortress is believed to be built upon the ruins of an older castle. The picture of this fortress was printed on the old 25,000 LL bill. At night, it will be brightly illuminated, and so you’ll be able to have a clear view of it, while listening to the detailed explanation from the guide.

After this cultural tour, you will hike along a farm road passing by the riverbank of Nahr el Jawz, by olive orchards and fields, until you reach Koubba. From there you will walk to Batroun’s old town, famous for its Phoenician landmarks.

The end of this night adventure will be a cozy get-together around a mankoushe in the old streets of Batroun. You will all spend memorable moments in one of the small restaurants by the shore.
