Regisration for International Women’s Day Cycling Event with Abaad

To commemorate International Women’s Day, and to demand gender equality and safety for all women and girls on the streets and at home, from harassment to violence and discrimination, CyclingCircle and Abaad cordially invite you to the “International Women Day Cycling Ride” on Friday, March 7.

To promote safety for all women on the streets, they would like participants to wear a white shirt as a dress code. That way they can all be visible at night and they can better communicate the objectives of the ride to the public. A flier about International Women’s Day will be distributed all along the route to participants, pedestrians and people in cars.

Bike Generation will be sponsoring this event by providing 25 bicycles (for free) for 25 women who would like to participate at the IWD night ride.

Men will be contributing for participating in the ride.

(own bicycle : free of charge)

Length of the track: approx 15 km
Level : Medium

Gathering will be at Bike Generation – Tahwita at 7:20 p.m. and the ride starts at 8:00 p.m., passing by Fern el Chebek, Mathaf, Badaro, Damascus street, Sodeco, Achrafie, Gemayze, DownTown, Ain el Mrayse and back to Tahwita.
The ride will end around 11:00 p.m.

Bicycles are equipped with lights and all participants are obliged to wear a helmet for their safety

The ride is fully covered by Commercial Insurance, organized by CyclingCircle and escorted by Bike Generation who will provide a support car and cycling marshals.
