Kinan Azmeh and Manfred Leuchter in Concert

Kinan Azmeh is one of Syria’s rising stars. His utterly distinctive sound across different musical genres is now fast gaining international recognition. Born in Damascus, Kinan was the first Arab to win the premier prize at the 1997 Nicolai Rubinstein International Competition, Moscow. Kinan has appeared worldwide as a soloist, composer and improviser. Notable appearances include: Opera Bastille, Paris; Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, New York; the Royal Albert hall, Montreux Jazz Festival and Beiteddine Festival. For more about Kinan, click here

He’s joined on stage by German accordionist Manfred Leuchter, who has been working as musician, composer, songwriter and producer as well as writing music for theater. For more about Manfred, click here
