This short work or study was commissioned as part of a project titled STAMBA, bringing together artists from Germany, Iraq, Egypt and France. It deals with the theme of cultural clichés and stereotypes between the East and West. In Europe where political power, such as the power of art, doubts its own abilities, Europeans readily turn to the non-European and cling to it since he/she still maintains a position of control against critical situations. We imagine a fictional situation that would work these contradictions. For example: the encounter between a young post-Arab Spring director and a French actress, during rehearsals for the play Othello. Omar Abi Azar takes part in this project, within an ongoing co-collaboration between Du Zieu and Zoukak.
