Azzi & Osta

Azzi & Osta is the brainchild of the designer-duo: George Azzi and Assaad Osta. Both born in 1986, they joined ESMOD- Beyrouth in 2004.

In 2007, upon delivering their final collections for graduation from ESMOD, George and Assaad won the Prize of the President of the Jury Mr Elie Saab and the Prize of the Jury respectively.
After graduating, they joined the creative department at Elie Saab, as Assistant Designers for 18 months, a period that allowed the pair to explore each other’s approach to aesthetics.
The year 2010 witnessed the birth of “Azzi & Osta” with their debut collection which was showcased in a luxury multi-brand boutique in Beirut. The collection gained success quickly and led the designers, in less than a year, to open their first showroom and atelier in Beirut, at the age of 24.

The creative roots of both Assaad & George go very deep, back to their childhoods. Azzi would cite both his grandmothers as great influence on his taste for fashion as they were both excellent tailors. As he grew older, among all art movements, surrealism was what echoed the most within him. Osta was inspired by the afternoons spent watching his mother create her own dresses. He is most inclined to Cinema Noir and classical music.

Azzi & Osta’s style is highlighted with its challenging conceptual volumes that are vintage in soul yet in perfect modern proportions.
