Arab Puppet Theatre Foundation
The Arab Puppet Theatre Foundation (APTF) introduces a series of compelling workshops on the art of puppetry. Our workshops are devised to provide a space for children and adults alike to learn more about the diversity and history of puppetry while acquiring the skills and confidence to make their own personalized puppets.
Workshop
The first workshop is divided into two categories based on age groups, and yet serves the same purpose of puppet understanding, creation and manipulation. Participants will explore movement techniques, content development, character development, storytelling, various puppet types, and bringing puppets to life. Participants are encouraged to be inventive and try out different ideas and forms of puppetry. Participants are not required to have puppetry or theater experience.
Schedule
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 9am – 12pm
Open to children age 7-11 and parents (optional for parents)
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 3pm – 6pm including break.
Open to participants age 12 and above.
