It is said that in 1844 the Ottoman Pasha defied the Arayssi family to discover the secret recipe of the Turkish baklava. To the pasha amazement, The Arayssi’s was able to reproduce the recipe.
Moving to El Bourj in Beirut in 1844, Arayssi brought his know-how along and started a business legacy that remains till today.
