Call for Applications: Cinephilia Screenwriting Lab for Shorts

CISL For Sho​rts is a world-touring lab that aims to develop original, visionary and daring voices in the art of screenwriting from the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia. The lab offers the tools that result in a strong narrative short film while focusing on the individual’s unique voice as screenwriter and by connecting like-minded people through shared collaborative feedback.

The lab selects 8-10 filmmakers who are developing a narrative short film screenplay.
The selection is based on the originality of the proposed project and the creativity of the submitted application. We are looking for visionary narrative short film projects that break the boundaries of the conventional. Our application form is remarkably long but it serves as an exhibition of the filmmakers’ imaginative powers.

Awards
Best Screenplay Award: Winning screenplay gets financed and produced by Cinephilia Productions.
Cinephilia will also cover all distribution and marketing plan, costs and services.

Lab Dates:
August 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10
Followed by 1 month consultation (2-3 Skype feedback sessions)
