Leila, a Lebanese-American, attempts to (re)create a home for her Teta in an Assisted Living facility in Washington, DC – pulling objects out of a suitcase, and with each one, unraveling memories. In the process, Leila moves between her own voice and her grandmother’s, as each struggles to find what it is she is missing. Both ask the audience to help them in their journey. The piece is structured to be without a script, changing with each performance based on who is in the room.
