Modernity Out of The Center
The Meziara International Artist in Residence is a one-month program taking place in the village of Meziara (Northern Lebanon). The focus of the residency will be an industrial complex located in the oak forest that surrounds the village.
As a participant, Gregory Buchakjian will give a public presentation about his work, ‘Modernity Out of The Center.’

The Location
Meziara is a typical rural Lebanese village located in the Zgharta district of the Northern Governate of Lebanon at 20km from the city of Tripoli. It sits on a hilltop, 800m above sea level surrounded by mountains with a view to the Mediterranean Sea.
