“And So We Move!” Workshop in Mhaidthe

This beautiful village in the heart of the Metn mountains celebrates kite flying. During one day, villagers of all ages gather in the windiest spot, after a week of construction, to boast their kite-making skills and playfully compete for the highest flying kite. Eid el Tayaran, as it is called, creates an atmosphere of fun and spontaneity among all the participants. In this ambiance, you shall move! Liberating yourself of everyday tensions and rediscovering the innocent and simple pleasure of moving in your body.

On Sunday August 31, we invite you to enjoy a day of movement and tradition, as you discover this village and relive your childhood memories. Corinne Skaff will propose a movement session based on contemporary dance principles to reconnect you with your body, find fluidity in your joints and freedom in your movement. Come together with others to engage in a different kind of dynamic and collaborative group work, learning to make creative use of your body in space.

Trainer:
Corinne Skaff is a contemporary dance artist. She has followed dance all over the world: studied in Lebanon and Paris, and participated in festivals in Vienna, Mexico and Lebanon. With her multidisciplinary background in contemporary dance, classical ballet, salsa, contact improvisation, physical theater, yoga, and martial arts, she has designed her own workshop approach to teaching dancers and non-dancers of all ages.
