Talents Beirut: Public Sessions

From Sep 19 to Sep 21, 2014
Metropolis Empire Sofil

Talents Beirut is a project that aims to support film talents from the Arab World, allowing them to reflect on their own works by connecting with other emerging and confirmed talents, and by discovering new ways to approach the art of film making, whether from technical or theoretical point of views.

It is a branch of the Berlinale Talents (formally known as the Berlinale Talent Campus) which invites every year more than 300 talents from the four corners of the globe during the Berlin International Film Festival to meet film experts and discuss film related matters, such as production distribution and filmmaking at large.

By organizing Talents Beirut for the Arab World, Beirut will be joining the Berlinale Talents’ international family alongside 5 other cities that have been organizing their own Talents throughout the world: Guadalajara (Mexico), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Durban (South Africa), Tokyo (Japan) and Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

Talents Beirut is an initiative of the Metropolis Association in partnership with the Goethe-Institut Lebanon, with the collaboration of the Berlinale Talents and FID Marseille.

Within the framework of the first edition of Talents Beirut organized by the Metropolis Art-Cinema association and the Goethe – Institut Libanon, three sessions open to the public will be held at Metropolis-Empire Sofil
