DJ Sotusura at Radio Beirut

DJ Sotusura (aka Hicham Ibrahim) is back in town for one month only. He’ll be behind the decks this Saturday for a style mix-up from French hip hop and old school stype to afro and funk.

Sotusura was born in France in 1980 and first heard hip hop music at around age 10. By 13, he was fully addicted to hip hop and started to DJ around ’98 while living in Los Angeles.

Sotusura holds down two radio shows, one on Beat FM in Jordan called Urban Beats and international hip hop show, and The Art of Rap, a NY-based internet radio called Radio 23.

He gigs all over the world, wherever he gets the chance, focusing on opening sets at concerts, breakdance competitions, poetry events and underground spots where he can play the real hip hop he loves.

DJ Sotusura has performed with many local talents and helped promote them in the Jordanian and Middle Eastern scene. He’s also performed with some of the best Arab hip hop talents, including the Ramallah Underground, Ragtop, DAM, Salah Edin, Cilver Rings, Islam Jawad, Stevie Soul and Bluebird.
