As part of BAC’s new initiative to open one Sunday a month, Walid Dakroub, puppet theater artist and founder of the Lebanese Puppet Theater, will be leading a workshop this Sunday with parents and children to create puppets using elements found in nature.
About Walid
Walid Dakroub was born in 1975. He holds a MA in scenography from Saint Petersburg State Theater Arts Academy, as well as a PhD in Theater Arts from the same institution. He is head of the graduate section in scenography in the faculty of fine art at the Lebanese University. He is a founding member of Khayal, an organization that promotes arts and education. He is a founding member of the Lebanese Puppet Theater, in which he plays an important role in designing puppets and conceiving the scenography for each show. He has also produced several works in Russia, Denmark, and Qatar, and has won numerous awards.
