The 21st European Film Festival will be held from November 26 to December 8 at Cinema Metropolis Empire Sofil in Achrafieh.
The European Film Festival is organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Lebanon in collaboration with the Embassies and Cultural Institutes of the European Union Member States, under the patronage of the Minister of Culture.
About the Movie
Marie Krøyer was married to the great Danish painter P.S. Krøyer. At the peak of their marriage, Krøyer’s mental illness is getting more severe and their dream of sharing a life as artists is crumbling and turning to frustration and sorrow. To get some peace and regain strength, mother and daughter take a vacation where Marie meets and falls in love with Swedish composer Hugo Alfvén. Marie boldly leaves her husband for her new love, knowing only little of the world-shattering choices that lie ahead of her.
