This 10-session creative writing workshop welcomes English-language submissions in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. During each 1.5 hour workshop we will explore students’ works, discussing structural and thematic strengths and weaknesses. We will offer supportive criticism and thoughts in order to help each writer make progress. There will be a list of outside reading as well that will serve as a foundation for understanding literary criticism, structure, and style. Workshops will be held in English and will provide an engaging, friendly, and supportive environment. Maximum 12 students allowed.

Instructor Biography:
Arto Vaun is a poet and musician. His first book, Capillarity, was published in 2009 in the UK. His poems and prose have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies. He has been interviewed about his poetry by the BBC twice and has taught writing and literature at various universities for over five years. Arto’s most recent CD was released in 2013. He is the poetry editor of Glimpse Journal and is currently finishing a new collection of poems as well as a novel.
