Existence is Resistance Radio Show feat. Jabbar

From the creators of “Hip Hop is Bigger Than the Occupation,” Ayman El-Sayed the Lebanese Ether and Nancy Mansour aka Harrabic Tubman, host the Existence is Resistance radio show, live all the way from New York City to the Beirut studio.

With hip-hop at its core, the EIR show brings together music and social commentary, teaching resistance through the arts. It features a whole host of interesting weekly guests from hip hop legends such as Immortal Technique interviewed live on air to activists and cultural figures.

Today Ayman Eir and Harrabic Tubman interview Palestinian American rapper and producer Jabbar. As a founding member of Dubai-based hip hop group The Recipe, he has opened up for acts such as Snoop Dogg, Macklemore and DJ Lord of Public Enemy. Now pursuing a solo career in NYC, Jabbar speaks to EIR about his experiences in Dubai over the past 10 years, some of the new projects he is working on and his thoughts on hip hop today. We play his track “Free” featuring Tala which he released to help raise funds for The Palestine’s Children Relief Fund (PCRF).
