‘Five Years of Painting and Innovation’ at Beirut Exhibition Center

Following a major retrospective at Ayyam Gallery Dubai, Al Quoz in 2014, Samia Halaby’s oeuvre will be showcased at the Beirut Exhibition Center this February.

Halaby’s five decades of visual investigations and ever-changing compositions, from early geometric experiments to today’s explosions of colors, have defined her as pioneer of Arab abstraction. Curated by Maymanah Farhat, the exhibition will illustrate each phase of her prolific career. The 50 artworks presented at the Beirut Exhibition Center will include paintings, drawings, prints, computer-generated kinetic works, and hanging sculptures.
