‘Lost Strange Things’ Exhibition at Art Factum

Art Factum Gallery cordially invites you to ‘Lost Strange Things: On Not Finding Home’, a solo exhibition and book release by photographer Tanya Traboulsi.

‘Lost Strange Things’ is a series of photographs and found documents that delves into the terrain of nostalgia and belonging. The body of work has grown from two years of photographing people, landscapes, cityscapes as well as objects and interiors in both Austria and Lebanon.

The series assembles photographs taken by the artist, many additional found family photos, as well as documents and slides. The images illustrate the different facets that represent home while simultaneously observing the affiliation to time, space, people and memory.

The exhibition is accompanied by a monograph designed by Studio Safar and published by Triton. The book compiles 116 photographs, found family photos and documents, a prologue by Rayya Badran and an essay by Bariaa Mourad.
