Yukunkun has the true magic of a super cool jazz club, where Sunday traditions and formalities can fade into the background when the jazz flows from the stage and seamlessly becomes part and parcel the atmosphere that only good live music and an intimately connected audience can bring. Live music in a cool but informal setting, on a relaxed Sunday to close the weekend smoothly – that is what Lazy Sundays is all about. Lazy was never so cool.

By playing many of Beirut’s notable establishments, the Nadine Shehadeh Jazz Quartet has built a solid tradition of bringing the vocal jazz of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s to Beiruti audiences. Their repertoire consists of the Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Billie Holiday songbook, with a contemporary twist added to include some Norah Jones and Diana Krall.
