‘A Moment Suspended in Time’ is the latest exhibition by Janet Hagopian.
The experience of being caught in three cultures not wholly different, and yet not the same, dominates her creative work. Each of her pieces offers a glimpse into the social and religious realities that shape her identity, and those of the women living in the Middle East. She pays a great deal of attention to the structures of forms, shapes, and colors, which create the inhabitable space that begins to resemble stories and life experiences behind the composition.
