Economics of Climate Change: The Cost of Doing Nothing

IFI’s Climate Change and Environment in the Arab World Program cordially invites you to a panel discussion.

Climate change will have further impacts on many functions of the ecosystems and natural resources, which poses a threat to national and international economic functions and productivity. Accordingly, understanding the economics of climate change becomes an important pre-requisite of any policy planning process. This panel discussion will present several research studies conducted on the economics of climate change in Lebanon, Brazil and the United States. The panel will include presentations of simple climate model and consequent findings of economically quantified climate change effects with a discussion of the policy implications.
