My Imaginary Cities: Beirut AudioWalk

From Mar 27 to Mar 28, 2015
4:00pm -> 9:00pm
Mansion

In My Imaginary Cities the predominant visual approach to the city and to history is questioned. Stories of blind and visually impaired persons in Frankfurt and Beirut are the base for a Audiowalk through the city. The narrators’ approach to public spaces and its occasionally gruesome history influences directions, speeds and rhythms. Beirut and Frankfurt collide to produce an imaginary third city that allows us to explore those areas in which we lose our orientation. Using the cane is like that: When I move my right foot, I put the cane like that, the left foot the cane be here so etc. In order not to knock at cars or pillars or steps. So I can feel my way by using the cane.

You can access the walk via a smartphone or a MP3-Player.

Please contact them in advance by emailing info@ongoing-project.org.
If you don’t bring your own equipment, they will provide you with an MP3-Player and headphones.
