Xangô Live at Radio Beirut

Wednesday, Apr 8, 2015
Radio Beirut

Last time Xangô played at Radio Beirut the rain was pouring down outside but that didn’t stop the full house moving and shaking to the Brazilian rhythms of this sextet. We’re pleased to welcome them back again for another set and dance party.

Xangô is a Lebanese based band covering Brazilian music. The music ranges from smooth Bossa Nova to fast Samba and African rhythms. Xangô will be covering tunes by Brazil’s most famous composers such as Antonio Carlos Jobim, Baden Powel, Gilberto Gil, Pixinginha, Sergio Mendes, Toquinho, Chico Buarque, Djavan, Clara Nunes and a lot more. Rarely do we see people standing still, so prepare yourself to move with a big smile.

The Lineup:
