About Pierre Parlant
Pierre Parlant was born in 1957. Philosophy professor, poet and writer, he is the author of numerous critical essays, nonfiction and poetry works. His latest publications are Courtes habitudes, Nietzsche à Nice (2014), Exposer l’inobservable (2014) and Ciel déposé (2015).

He is currently working on several books including Une cause dansée, inspired by Aby Warburg’s trip in the land of the Hopi, and an operas booklet inspired by the myth of Pyramus and Thisbe itself part of Ovid’s Metamorphosis. Pierre Parlant founded the literary journal Hiems in 1997 and managed it until its last published volume in 2003.

He currently works and lives in South of France and was in Beirut in April 2015 for a writing residence.
