Reading for Writers with Arto Vaun

This is a creative writing workshop for writers who are dedicated to pushing their work to the next level. To do so, you will look at various short texts in prose and poetry in order to discuss and dissect what makes great writing great. You will look at different styles and techniques. At the same time, you will submit your own writing throughout the workshop, drawing from the texts and discussions for inspiration and improvement.

About the instructor
Arto Vaun is a poet and musician. His first book, Capillarity, was published in 2009 in the UK. His poems and prose have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies. He has been interviewed about his poetry by the BBC twice and has taught writing and literature at various universities for over five years. Arto’s most recent CD was released in 2013. He is the poetry editor of Glimpse Journal and teaches at the American University of Armenia.
